Summary of CHL Purchase Program
The CHL Purchase Program makes it easy and convenient to buy your own car for your stay in the U.S.
CHL sells only safe, reliable pre-owned cars in good condition. Every CHL car is serviced before delivery.
Our current cars for sale include 2006, 2008, and 2009 Mitsubishi Lancers. Purchase prices range from $7,000 to $11,500, with monthly payments ranging from $280 to $370. You will see the details, including pricing and pictures, when you complete the purchase form.
Cars purchased through CHL are delivered to your location before you arrive, and all financing is guarantee as long as you don’t have a negative U.S. credit history. For customers with no U.S. credit history, financing is guaranteed!
Pricing
CHL requires a $1,000 down payment (for VIF educators, $550 will be deducted from the Relocation Loan and $450 will be due upon arrival). The remaining balance will be financed over 36 months at a competitive interest rate of approximately 9.79%. Securing a loan without a social security number, permanent address, or credit history is very difficult – CHL provides this competitive rate as a service to our customers. In the unlikely event that you can secure a better interest rate, you are welcome to bring your own financing!
Warranty
CHL cars are sold “as is” and come with a 45-day limited warranty for general repairs and manufacture defects. This generous warrantee allows you to focus on settling into your new home, without worrying about the quality of your newly purchased car.
Delivery of Car
If you complete all purchase arrangements before you come to the U.S, your CHL car will be waiting when you arrive in your new U.S. community. (Please note that, if you wait until you get to the U.S. to decide about transportation, CHL will need a few days to transport the car to your location.)
Auto Insurance
CHL customers purchasing cars through CHL are required to obtain CHL’s insurance. For more information on CHL’s insurance, please click here.
Gap insurance
As an added benefit, CHL customers automatically receive gap insurance when financing through CHL. If a car is damaged beyond repair due to an accident, gap insurance ensures that there is enough insurance to pay off the balance of the car loan – so you won’t be stuck covering any additional expense.
